9 June – 9 July 2006 | In 2006, with Germany hosting the World Cup, Berlin’s Fan Mile public viewing zone was launched (officially: FIFA Fan Fest Berlin). On the Fan Mile, stretching 1.8 km from Brandenburg Gate to the Victory Column, fans from around the world gathered together to cheer on their teams.
