With the grand opening of the O2 World in September 2008 one of the latest multifunction arenas was built in Berlin.
The O2 World sets national and international standards. The interior impresses as well by modern technology and architecture, providing the best sound quality and line of sights and giving the interior room a surprising intimacy despite its huge capacity. The owner of the O2 World is the Anschutz Entertainment Group.
The history of the O2 World starts in 2002. On March 22nd the Anschutz Entertainment Group bought the terrain of the former freight depot. The site development started in April 25, 2005. The laying of the foundation stone was on September 13, 2006. After exactly 728 days the 165 million Euro project opened on September 10, 2008.

With capacities up to 17,000 seats, 59 Entertainment Suites, Conference Suites and Party Suites the O2 World is one of the most modern multifunctional arenas in the world. Furthermore the O2 World offers the visitors 1,000 Premium Seats with an associated Premium Club and Lounge as well as the World Dinner Restaurant.
The technical equipment of the O2 World guarantees optimal acoustics and best view at any seat.
Its central location, right in the middle of the city, in combination with excellent transportation connections via the ICE high-speed trains, regional trains and public transportation will make the O2 World an extremely accessible venue for visitors from Berlin and those coming into the city from elsewhere.
